Purify can work as a "pass through" filter for your email. Normally, you connect to your email server from your email client, and retrieve your email. With Purify, you connect to Purify from your email client, and Purify will in turn connect to your email server and begin forwarding messages back and forth between your email client, and email server. Purify will "peek" at each message as it passes from your email server to your email client through Purify. As each email message "passes through", Purify will apply the filtering rules that you have set up in Purify. Purify'ed email will be passed along to your email client's inbox, and email identified as spam will be moved to your email client's trash folder.

Purify can also be used on a Macintosh computer with provided AppleScripts to rate your email after it has been received by your email client. In this usage scenario, your email client software would download your email directly from your email server, and the Purify AppleScript would rate the email and dispose of items rated as spam however you directed in the included AppleScript.

Purify also allows you to forward Purify'ed email to your iPhone, Blackberry, or any other email address. Purify is also fully integrated with the hsc email archiving product, Compass, available in our products listing. Finally, Purify will also allow you to trace and report spammers to their Internet Service Providers!
