Downloaded this. Still says its vsn 4.1.1 - perversely "get info" says it was created on May 5 and modified on April 4.

Still quits with Out of bounds exception. Still has greyed out "add" boxes... Still seems to lose it's ability to quit itself (and all menus except "Help" disappear). Force quitting seems to take one through all open applications - machine then hangs when it reaches SpamX.

Still can't see new option to deal with spamvertised addrersses.

I'd be very grateful for any help.

You've got something else going on Andrew. I just downloaded the bin only version that just contains the program, and put it in my Sp@mX folder, and it says 4.1.9 in get info.

Red faced apology - I'd not noticed the file i was unzipping each time was an old one - tjhe new downloads had got put into an obscure cobwebby folder...

Right, now I am using the latest vedrsion I'm pleased to report no "Out of Bounds" stuff going on. So far....

However, "add" boxes in various windows are still greyed. Whilst live, neither box in the "subject" window worked - however the subject did save itself when I closed the window. And, closing the window dod not lead me to lose your menus.

Finally, I still can't see where one goes to deal with spamvertized URLs...

No problem Andrew.

If you go to your Sp@mX configuration, you'll see at the bottom that there is a place to set the maximum number of URLs in each message to report.

Setting this value to zero will turn off URL reporting.

Setting this value to a low number (I use three) will prevent the occasional fake run...
