On OS x 10.6.4, clicking Report gets this message: Purify error (0) unspecified, and the process pinwheel goes on and on. Just replaced the most current countries.data, and geoip.data files; no change. This happens on All, or Selected. Any insight is deeply appreciated.

Could you please try running Purify with logging on and send me the .zipped file log.txt from your Purify program folder? Also, it would make this very easy for me to track this down if you could .zip and send me the complete source of the email message that you were reporting when this happened.

This same thing started happening to me about 4 days ago. This happen with about 50% of the spam that I am reporting, I have noticed that they are all from hotmail account. However, not all spam from hotmail accounts are having this problem.

If you could provide me with the complete message source as text (in separate .zip please) from one of these emails, I could make short work out of figuring this out.

I've been provided with two sample emails (thanks Mark!) and copied them into my Purify database, and both reported with no problem. I tested the emails with Purify 2.2.1, on Snow Leopard. Based on what I see, here is what I suspect. There are two people complaining about this error. In the absence of any other information, I would suspect that this might just be a coincidence, and you are both having the same problem at the same time which I suspect may be disk related. All too happy to continue looking into this. The goal is to be able to reproduce the error here, so that if there is a problem with Purify, I can fix it. The next step would be to .zip and send the file purify.data from the folder (your user name)/Library/Preferences/Purify.
