Jeff, I think this may have covered before but how do I deal with spam that is faked to appear as if I am sending spam to myself? Of course my e-mail address is white listed so it gets past all the ratings/filters, etc. It is not a huge deal, but still is irritating.

Hi Mike,
I usually avoid "me too" postings, but...
I've had to resort to not having myself on my friends list. I don't like this since sometimes I want to CC myself for some reason, but that's less of a problem for me than spams getting through.
Maybe Jeff can offer us something better?

You shouldn't have your email address in your friends list. Big spammer trick. From you, to you.
What I do when I want to CC myself..., I have a "CC Signature" in Apple Mail that in addition to my regular signature, puts a top secret Purify Whitelist tag at the end. When the email comes through, Purify picks up this tag and Whitelists the message for the life-span of the email message thread.
Example. My standard signature.

Works like a champ. You can also use this trick for regular email when you want to guarantee that Purify will clear a response from a stranger.
