Sometimes there's good news on the spam front!

[quote]Thank you for writing to Eli Lilly and Company.

The message you reported did not originate or pass through one of our servers. The individual is forging message headers, suggesting that the message originated or passed through Lilly.  Some of these people doctor the IP address and domain information in the header, which is evident by preceding and following underscores being added on.  Also some will add the recipient’s e-mail address or account name into the header to try to make it appear more authentic.  In addition some spammers try to trick people by taking the name of the recipient’s account and forge it into the header with another domain name to try and make it appear more authentic.

We have actively pursued legal action against individuals who forge addresses from the Lilly domain. Please help us by forwarding all unsolicited e-mail with the Lilly domain name in the headers or bodies to:
    abuse@Lilly.com
