Jeff kindly made some fixes after a request I made to him and SpamX 2 now processes SPAM received by Thunderbird seamlessly.
To use Thunderbird just right click on each email to process, select "save as" and then save in your spam folder ready for SpamX 2 to process. No need to open emails to save them so still staying safe.
Process using Outlook Express configuration.
Just like to say a big THANK YOU to Jeff for doing this for me. The customer service is second to none.

Excellent.
My wife and Son are still on wintel and I'm converting them to Thunderbird and Firefox.
I may well be after Jeff for another two machine licenses!

I've been using Firefox for almost three months now and I love it. I haven't used Thunderbird, because I want to sync with my PPC. Will T'bird do that? I'm willing to go to Palm OS if that will sync.
Can anyone here tell me about that? Also would welcome any other thoughts on Thunderbird.
Thanks in advance.

I've just had a look at their forums and it seems they are having problems getting a working extension that you could use. As I'm not really that knowledgeable where ppc's and the like are involved you might like to search through some of the posts on the forum.

I have got it set up as described here, SpamX sees the messages (they are displayed under 'email messages', the refresh button is available, but the 'all' and selected buttons are grayed out.
Running Mac 1gb ram, OSX 10.3.7 Thunderbird 1.0
Any clues?

The only thing that can cause this is a mismatch between the values entered in your Sp@mX configuration for email address, and machine string, and the values in the registration database. Can you please verify that you've used the values in your delivery email??

Jeff,
Thanks for he fast reply. On loadup of SpamX I get a Modal form that says "You must register this product before use..." Is that what you mean?

All values were as stated in the email from you (Cut&Paste). Hmmm. Should I de-install and try again?

No, the only thing required for validation is your emailaddress and machinestring matching the values entered in the validation database. These values were sent to you in your registration email. If you've entered these, and they've worked before, then you've got something else going on. Double check your configuration, and make sure that you have Internet access.
