Jeff, while running SpamX in batch procesing mode today, it was impossible to use any other app as SpamX and Outlook, with it's pop-up requesters, kept stealing the focus even if both are minimised.

Is there any way to circumvent this? I am using the ClickYes utility to process Outlook's requesters, and I think the problem is probably an Outlook one, but thought I'd ask wink.gif

Cheers,

Hi Chris,

Yepper, I'm working on a version right now that will allow Outlook (2000,XP,2003,Express) users to 'drag and drop' their email to a Windows folder, and SpamX will process the spam from that folder.

It won't use Outlook for anything. It will send the spam complaints using straight SMTP over a TCP/IP connection (just like the first versions of SpamX did).

Keep a look out for it...

Looking forward to that release. That'll be an excellent feature.

Hello all.

Jeff, speaking of requests:

1) I add my vote (2x @ least) for Chris' suggestion above.

2) I'd also like to add a small one of my own. Early releases of SpamX had a text box where you could put boilerplate for the complaint recipient. Could we have that back? I have three short greetings I like to use, depending on the circumstances. At present, SpamX doesn't have that option.

Great suggestion regarding the boilerplate response. ph34r.gif

You could always do the manual "copy complaint" thing and edit the e-mail with the chosen text ;-) but that defeats the automation of SpamX which is what I like so much. cool.gif
