Hi Jeff,

Three comments and/or questions on what happens when you post a new update for CRX:

1. Is there a reason why clicking on the download link needs to produce a page of gobbldeygook? A bit of fiddling reveals the fix (right-click instead of left-click, select download ...). But no other software download link I'm familiar with works that way, and it's hardly intuitive for a newbie. Does it have to be that way, or could it be reconfigured to work the "normal" way?

2. The item in the Important Topics panel about the current update is confusing, because it always looks like a new thread related to the latest update - but is in fact an old thread that no one posts to these days.

3. Can existing CRX users always (or sometimes?) ignore the "countries.data" file that comes with every update? Or does that get updated as well? It would be good if there was a text note in there to clarify that. But at least an answer here would be good.

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback Lance!

1. Different browsers handle download links differently. I'm working on a "one size fits all."
2. Correct. Link is really meant as a placeholder to show latest version.
3. The countries.data should only be needed for new users, first installation.

Thanks, Jeff. Appreciate the response.

Could you maybe get rid of the old discussion thread from the placeholder link and replace with a single URL that takes you to the thread in the forum topics with the same heading? Like an alias ...
