Well, it's still happening. I just installed SpamXii v. 1.2.8 and got a duplicate entry in Windows' Add/Remove dialogue. The first (Original) one shows the SpamX icon, a size of 332KB and that it is used 'Frequently'. The second shows a generic icon, of size 2.59GB and that it is used 'Frequently'.

When this happened before, it didn't matter which iteration I chose to uninstall, my valid installation was removed.

I know that the workaround is to uninstall each iteration in the Add/Remove dialogue and then install again, but I did this the last time. It seems to me there must be a problem in the installation routine. I also remember that others had the same problem before. Has anyone experienced this with the full install of v. 1.2.8?

P.S. I thought of using the binary only or uninstalling the older version before installing the new, but I wanted to find out if the problem still existed in 1.2.8.

I just used the binary this time but I did have this problem with previous versions.

It does seem to be a minor inconvenience though.
