I have received several responses from SBCGLOBAL.NET advising that the reported email did not come from their domain.

I've checked them by hand and they did.

I've sent responses back to them asking them to look into this further.

Same deal, automated response advising that the reported email did not come from their domain. Well, I guess that's one way to deal with email complaints.

I've had replies from SBC ranging from "we're looking at eery complaint (A while ago) to today's one which bounced NDR with the error 'Relaying denied'.

I wonder if they're getting snowed under and whether they'll sort their customer base out.

On the other hand, spam from comcast is growing daily I don't think they bother following up any further than sending the spam report to the spammer.

I'm familiar with the COMCAST problem.

Apparently, some COMCAST users are having their machines used (unwittingly) as relays.

The last article that I read advises that COMCAST is aware of this problem, and is about to start shutting off the users that continue to ignore the COMCAST notices.

Yes, I see a lot of open proxy stuff via comcast.

perhaps more education is needed? Seems like AOL has lost it's crown as the spammers heaven smile.gif
