Version 4.2.3 has been posted on the permanent update home.
This version contains some important changes, some have which have been long outstanding user requests.
- Sends abuse complaint to best abuse contact, and CCs the others, this will eliminate the "too many recipients" returns, and only count as one email sent for users that have a total emails allowed per day constraint on their SMTP servers.
- SMTP header parser enhancements. The regular expression used to parse IP addresses in this format (4.3.2.1.spammerdomain.com [1.2.3.4]) were sometimes returning as IP address 4.3.2.1 vice 1.2.3.4. This has been corrected.
- Japanese lookups now support lookup by handle. JPNIC was sometimes returning contact information as handle (e.g. MT1234JP), this is now looked up and abuse contact e-mail address is returned. This combined with the SMTP header parser enhancements should drastically reduce notprocessed e-mails.
- Abuse contact e-mail addresses double checked to strip any extraneous characters (e.g. mailto:a@b.com, or contact,a@b.com).
- Will not lookup an IP address that starts 127.0.0., or a domain that contains localhost.
- Doesn't lookup copy domains, or IP addresses.
